Hi all,
I just bought me a fancy new I5 3570K for my PC build, but I just had a small issue occur to me. I bought a P8P67 Pro (Rev 3.1) for my build a while back as I did not expect to wait for Ivy Bridge to come out. When I found I was, I read that the Rev 3.1 was supposed to be able to handle the Ivy Bridge, but it didn't dawn on me I'd need to update BIOS for it to work.
I am curious if it is safe for me to put the I5 3570K on my motherboard and boot from a USB drive or DVD to flash the BIOS? If not, is there some other way for me to update the BIOS?
Thanks for your help!
